Is Acupuncture dangerous?

Acupuncture when practised by an experienced clinician is safe both for mother and baby and as it is a natural treatment method, it has no potentially dangerous side effects. Women usually find it a very relaxing treatment, stress is reduced and the benefits of relaxation and calmness can help to encourage pregnancy.

Acupuncture treatments can also alleviate some of the discomforts experienced during pregnancy, including sickness, morning sickness, constipation, heartburn/reflux and backache. Acupuncture can also help to induce labour, displace the placenta and provide pain reduction during contractions.

Chinese Medicine Theory Chinese Medicine can aid the flow of blood to the reproductive organs in both male and female. This will help to stabilise hormone levels and help ovarian function in women and increase sperm production in men.
